Do you need a public speaker for your next conference or event?
At Pushing Back the Shadows, we strongly believe in raising awareness for mental health struggles and the difficulties in supporting them. It can be difficult to communicate how best to help people going through depression or anxiety, especially if you suffer with those conditions, so we can do it for you.
As someone with first-hand experience of both supporting people with mental health issues and his own personal mental health struggle, Alex is available to speak at events, seminars, workshops and many other events, whether for businesses or schools and colleges. He can speak on a range of topics, including depression and the workplace, how to help someone with mental health struggles and how to safeguard yourself when helping people in mental health.
Don’t take my word for it!
Why not see what others have to say about Alex’s speaking?
“Modern day society, with the prevalence of social media and ever demanding jobs, can have a severely negative impact on our collective Mental Wellbeing. This can be felt especially strongly by the younger generation who are growing up in the midst of it all. As the Student Enrichment Officer for Matthew Boulton College – Part of BMet, a Further Education college in Birmingham City centre, I thought bringing in a guest speaker who would discuss his own Mental Health journey while providing useful information about how to cope with personal Mental Health concerns as well as how to support friends/ family who may be dealing with similar concerns would greatly benefit our students. Alex Davies, from “Pushing Back the Shadows” kindly agreed to take up the mantle and the response from our students couldn’t have been better. Not only did our students find his talk “eye opening and informative”, they also requested to attend any events held by Alex in the future. Many of the students also really appreciated the interactive nature of the talk as it made the experience significantly more engaging than previously attended events. Along with all of the students who attended Alex’s talk, I would highly recommended either getting in touch with Pushing Back the Shadows to discuss issues you might be facing or to request assistance with events you might be planning.”
